About
Coventry Festival of Motoring is a fun-packed weekend of entertainment and car runs celebrating Coventry’s unique motoring heritage.
Last year’s Festival saw well over 600 vehicles participating and thousands of visitors attending the two day event in Millennium Place and at Coventry's War Memorial Park, which included some fantastic stunt riding from Moto Stunts International and classic family comedy from Haurel & Lardy.
The 2010 Festival is shaping up to be our biggest and best ever with nearly 800 vehicles participating and lots of fun-packed entertainment that the entire family can enjoy. The event will be taking place over the weekend of the 4th and 5th September.
As the Festival tradition goes, there will be a spectacular display of vintage, veteran and classic cars in Millennium Place on 4th September for you to stand back and admire. The celebrated car run on Sunday 5th September will start from the War Memorial Park, where you can give a wave and a cheer to the cars and motorcycles as they embark on the run through the Coventry and North Warwickshire countryside.
This year the Festival organisers have introduced several new elements to make the 2010 Festival even more exciting and enjoyable for one and all. A vibrant programme of entertainment has been planned over both days, including some explosive moto-action by the Imps Motorcycle Display Team and the Mega Minis stunt team, musical performances by the West Midlands Police Band and the Jaguar (Coventry) Band and Circus skills workshops. Following the huge success of last year, the Craft Fair and Marketplace are back again for you to enjoy shopping for some interesting gifts. Take a test-ride and get to know all about the latest Land Rovers in the Jaguar Land Rover Experience arena. A number of car clubs will be present at the War Memorial Park on Sunday with fabulous displays of cars for you to get up close to. And don't miss the Festival's new special feature for 2010 - a themed arena where the American Auto Club (UK) will be having a fantastic display of American vehicles.
With so much to see and do, 2010 Festival of Motoring promises to be a truly exciting and memorable event for everyone!
