Information for Participants

entry for HISTORIC VEHICLE RUN participants IS NOW OPEN

The Historic Vehicle Run is the lynchpin of the Coventry Festival of Motoring, and will once again be at the heart of the action in Sunday 24th August 2014.  Hundreds of cars and motorcycles will leave Stoneleigh Park and head off to take a tour around some of Coventry's most notable historic sights and then continue through the beautiful Warwickshire countryside.

The route is approximately 50 miles in length and there are some lovely welcoming pubs en route, where you can stop off and have a bite to eat and drink.

There will be heaps of motoring fun going on at Stoneleigh Park throughout the whole weekend, so we very much hope that you will join us for the two days of the festival.

Entry for the Historic Vehicle Run includes a fantastic goody bag, printed route book and a pitch to show off your vehicle at Stoneleigh Park for the whole weekend.

Costs:

Cars £22
Motorcycles £11
Ticket for Saturday Night Hog Roast £15

Saturday Night Hog Roast

Following on from last year's very successful evening, you will be pleased to know that the Hog Roast is back on the menu, (with a vegetarian option) and with live music for your entertainment.  Regrettably we have had to increase the cost to £15 due to a considerable rise in expenses for the evening, however this still represents great value for a good night out.

Tickets for the Hog Roast must be booked along with your entry for the Historic Vehicle Run.

Accommodation

As in previous years we are really keen for participants to bring their vehicles along for the whole weekend - if you're taking part in Sunday's Historic Vehicle Run you will have a dedicated pitch to display your vehicle for the whole weekend, giving you chance to really enjoy the festival 'fizz'.

We have a number of accommodation options for you:

The on-site Stoneleigh Park lodge has a special offer for Festival of Motoring participants - just £55 per room per night, including breakfast

WheelSkills - FREE to enter - Saturday
Designed and Sponsored by The Watsonian Motorcycle & Sidecar Company

A super-fun and enjoyable competition - entrants are given a series of challenges designed to test how good they are at parking, reversing and precision manoeuvring, with points given for knocking over planks, hitting cones or dislodging tennis balls.  The driver with the least points at the end of the day wins!  There is no extra credit for speed or style - slow and steady will almost definitely win the race.

Entry is only open to vehicles taking part in Sunday's Historic Vehicle Run - book your place when you enter the Historic Vehicle Run online
